Ombre Obsession
Ombre hair in San Diego is a must! It’s a popular, fresh style that’s very hot in California right now. It’s not just a trend, though. It’s a new classic that is only gaining in popularity. When my clients started asking for a perfect ombre in San Diego, I made sure that I could deliver. I’ve been trained in color techniques by experts from L’Oréal, TiGi, Sam Villa, Framesi, and Redken, among others.
For each client that came in wanting ombre, I had another client who wasn’t sure what ombre hair was. I’m always glad when clients ask me about different styles and techniques, because it’s part of what I love about my work. I don’t just do hair – I’m also an educator! That’s one of my roles at Revive Salon & Spa, and I really enjoy teaching clients and other stylists about methods and trends.
Balayage vs. Ombre
One common misunderstanding is about the difference between balayage and ombre. The simple answer is that balayage is a technique, while ombre is a style. The ombre hair style features a gradual transition from a darker shade to a lighter shade.
So, for example, your hair could be dark chestnut brown hair at the roots, and honey blonde at the ends. The color transition is seamless, with each hue gently transitioning into the next one. The best part about it is that you have so many options…
You can use two very bold colors, like pastel purple and pink. Or you can use more subtle shades, like your natural dark brown at the roots and a lighter auburn at the ends. You can choose to keep most of your hair dark, and only brighten up a small portion, or have a more even balance between the two colors. This is also a great style to try if you’re not sure about a new color, or don’t want to commit to a full head of hair in a new hue.
Ombre Advantages
There are so many other great advantages to ombre hair. It works really well for long and short styles, of just about any color. So it’s very versatile, along with being very flattering. You’ll leave the salon with soft, shiny hair that others will envy! You will be hooked on ombre once you see how much life and depth it gives your hair, and you’ll love how it looks in braids and updos.
There’s another secret reason that everyone loves ombre…if you opt for a darker color near your roots, you can grow it out for practically forever. Pick a shade that’s close to your natural hue, and you’re set for months at a time! We can do normal visits to keep your hair healthy and shiny, but aside from that it’s pretty low maintenance.
I’ve perfected all of these styles, so if you’re looking for ombre hair in San Diego, I’m here to make it happen for you. If you’d prefer to go blonde, try balayage, or play with sunlights, I’m happy to help. These are all my specialties, and they’re all gorgeous options to consider.
